The Harriet & Charles Luckman fine Arts complex on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles, is a multi-disciplinary arts facility dedicated to the presentation and exhibition of traditional and contemporary art forms that reflect the diverse and evolving cultures of Los Agneles and the world. Constructed in 1994, the luckman is in its fourteenth season of programming. The Luckman Partnership, Inc., the prestigious Los Angeles architectural firm responsible for such landmark structures as the Los angeles forum, Madison Square Garden, and Los Angeles International Airport, designed the Complex to reflect the beauty and strength of "old" California. Characterized by sun-drenched brick buildings and a tiered street of dramatic arches and columsn, the Luckman has been described as a perfect blend of teh old and the new, reminiscent of a Roman forum, while maintaining the glorious spaciousness which defines Southern California.
